Jack Dorsey exits Twitter’s board of administrators

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has left the social media platform’s board of administrators, simply weeks after taking part in a key position within the firm’s sale to Elon Musk.

The departure was deliberate. Twitter initially introduced in November that Dorsey would exit the board when his time period expired on the firm’s 2022 shareholders’ assembly. The assembly happened Wednesday.

This implies all of Twitter’s founders have now severed official ties with the corporate.

On April 25, Twitter’s board unanimously permitted the sale of the corporate to Musk, Tesla’s CEO, for $44 billion. Dorsey appeared to personally endorse the transfer, tweeting that he believed Musk might take the corporate in a sound path.

Dorsey — who twice served as Twitter CEO, most lately till 2021 — can also be the CEO of funds firm Block, previously generally known as Sq..

Dorsey has most lately garnered headlines for his ardent help of Bitcoin, and up to date tweets recommend that he’ll proceed to help the cryptocurrency.
